For my film job, I would want to be the screenwriter. I feel like I
wouldn't enjoy being an actor or someone with power. As a screenwriter, I would
be able to contribute a lot to the film while never really having to show
myself. Even though I'm going to have to write a lot and plan what the film is
going to be about, I don't really mind. Also as a screenwriter, the only
real responsibility is just to write, I don’t have to worry much about setting
things up and organizing like the producer has to.

My Review of The Elephant Man
To me, The Elephant Man was an amazing movie. The way they did the movie
was great, such as having it in black and white – even though color was already
being used in movies- which helped with the setting of the movie. The
characters were great, especially John Merrick, the elephant man. While in the
beginning, he is shown to be a bit of an idiot, you later on learn that he is
quite intelligent and a very nice. He always is trying to do is best and ever
since Dr. Treves took him to the hospital, he seemed to be very happy by all
that they had done since before everyone was terrified of him. It seemed great
when John was able to get back to the hospital after he was taken away by
bytes. One thing that sort of got to me was the end, after he had completed making
the church; he decided to try to sleep like a normal person, knowing very well
that he would die by asphyxiation by trying to, yet in the end, he did it. Overall,
I’d say that the movie was great and was enjoyable.

My Name is John Merrick
Today, Mr. Bytes was drunk. Even though it seemed liked he knew that I was sick, he still was angry at me. He had taken me to the monkey caged and locked me up, the monkeys kept screaming at me and I was helpless to do anything about it. Later in the night, these kind people took me out of the caged and helped me escape Mr. Bytes since that they probably knew it would only get worse if I stayed there with him. These fellow freaks took us through the forest and took me to a ship heading towards London. As I began to go on, one of them told me,"luck my friend, luck. Who needs more than we." On the ship, all I could think about was returning home, back to the hospital.

One time I laughed really, really hard
In 10th grade, on our way to 5th period, one of my
friends would walk with this group of girls to class. We would kind of make fun
of him since we knew that he wouldn’t be able to get with any of them. Well one
day while we were hanging out, it a thought occurred to me so I told him, “I
just realized, you’re like their gay friend huh?” (No offence). He was about to
make say something but then he realized it too and just had a horrified look on
his face. It was amazing because I had never seen him with that kind of
expression before, well afterwards he had stopped going with that group to
class. Now in this year, one of the girls that was part of this group was in my
6th period class, I asked her if she would ever get with the friend
I mentioned and then she said. “Nah, to me he’s sort of like a gay friend”, and
when I heard that, I just broke out laughing for the fact that she even agreed
on this, with me telling him about it later on.
Welcome to My Nightmare
Fear is a thing that can ruin a life. Fears can be different
for everyone, some people fear speaking in front of a crowd while others fear
the dark. Paranoia is something that leads to a fear, the people feeling like
their being watched, they begin to fear everyone since they believe that
everyone is out to get them. They would alienate themselves from society, just
hiding from everything, pretty much ruining the chance of a normal life. A fear
of speaking in public is pretty bad, for some events people have to say a
speech in front of everyone or if your running for a position, you are most
likely to have to say something to a large crowd of people. That fear of
speaking in public will prevent your from getting that job or position you
wanted. While fear has helped keep us alive in the past, now it can be
considered a hindrance.
Compassionate Science
Science can be used in so many different ways, it can be used to help
others or get rid of them, to help the environment or destroy it, and it all
depends on who is doing it. Compassion in science can be great, as shown by
Mike Ebeling, who went to Africa, taught them how to use a 3-D printer to make
prosthetic limbs, and gave one of them prosthetic arms to use since he had
none. To do good with science, you need to work your hardest or you will just
never be able to do it. While it might be hard, in the end you might be able to
help a lot of people, possibly changing their lives for the better. You just
have to have the will power and the knowledge to do so. Science can be
beneficial or disastrous for everyone; it just depends on the people.
In the Future...
I think 10 years into the future; there will probably have
more advanced technology, especially for gaming. One thing I’m really hopping
for would be complete immersion into virtual reality, like you would actually
feel that you were in the game, touching, smelling, and hearing everything
that's going around you. Possibly finally figure out how to have unlimited
energy for ships, there was a theory last month or two talking about how they
might have figured it out so in 10 years they should have done it already, have
gone to mars and possibly even further. We would have probably wasted more
resources, with people finally believing in global warming and how our world is
changing in a bad way because of us. Population would have grown a lot more, meaning
more cities need to be created, meaning we are destroying some animal’s habitat
in the process. We should have learned more of the ocean and what lurks
beneath, or at least more that 5 or 10% since we only know around 1 or 2% of
what’s going on down there. Medicine would have advanced a lot more, with
people dying at a later age and in war, they have even more ways of killing one
another using a full exoskeleton that increase there normal abilities to something
overpowered or maybe using some new tanks that can go invisible.
Modern Times
Modern times is an amazing movie made in 1936 by Charlie
Chaplin. To me the movie was funny, and I enjoying most of it. After learning
that it was originally a talkie movie but was changed at the last minute, I’m
wondering how it would have been if he went through with his original idea. My
favorite part of the movie would have been when he is working night watch in
the store and begins to roller skate and nearly falls off the edge multiple
times while blindfolded. One thing I wanted more of was when he went to jail.
They show him a couple of times going to jail but for most of it, they don’t
really show anything about it. In my opinion, they probably could have done
more with this. Even though this movie was created after the talkie revolution
in 1927, it was still very good for a silent film.

My thoughts on bullying
I believe that there are multiple reasons for why someone
would bully someone else. They might be doing it to make them feel better or
greater compared to someone else that might be doing better than them in some
sort of manner. The person that they’re bullying might be doing better than
them in class or making it seem that they are better than the bully, causing
the bully to do such things as harass them or hurt them in one way or another
to make the one doing it feel better about themselves. They might be having
problems back home such as having your parent’s divorce, the parents abusing
them, or the parents not caring about them. All these things that are occurring
at home causes the person to express it by being a bully. It might even be
possible that they were bullied at some point and because of it, they began to
bully others.

Favorite Movie
To me, my favorite movie would be 300. It came out when I was young like
in elementary or at the beginning of middle school, while it was clearly inappropriate
for someone like me at that age, it was still really badass. It was about the Persian
Empire growing and wanting Sparta to join their empire but they refused, but
they fought back with 300 warriors but later gained more allies to help them.
What really got me into the movie were all the fight scenes. They were amazing,
most of it is in slow motion so you would get to see them chop through the
enemies, it was so gory, my mind as a child was captivated by what was going
on. It wasn’t just the same type of fighting or enemies, they had to think of
new ways and fight different types. I couldn’t stop watching it, I just kept
thinking how amazing it was.
